Staff at Diversified Services are required to have training and certification in the following areas:

• Mandt
• First Aid and CPR
• Orientation

Team training is done two (2) times per month for all staff in the following:

• Infection control
• Medications and their side effects including seizures
• Documentation training
• Recognizing Abuse/Neglect
• Incident report writing/DDD Notification of Incident
• Confidentiality/HIPPA
• Client Rights (Participant Rights)
• Crisis Intervention
• Use of Fire Suppression Equipment
• Health and Safety Manual, Emergency Plans and Procedures
• Objectives and Implementing them
• Plan of Care
• Defensive Driving
• Positive Behavior Plans
• Code of Ethics, Employee Handbook/Grievance & Complaints
• Employee Benefits and where company dollars are spent
• Cultural Diversity
• Meeting the basic needs of the aging population
• Stress Management

Training specific to each participants is provided (regarding their Plan of Care) to the staff who will be involved in the life of each participant.
