Day Habilitation operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A wide variety of activities and training are made available to participants.
Examples of activities and training include exercise sessions, individual goal training, community shopping, on task and employment readiness, and group interaction and activities.
Some examples of activities in the community include:

eating out
- shopping
- bowling
- swimming
- picnics
- fishing
- physical activity
Training is available for improving social skills, improving communication and choice making abilities. 
DSI offers a Senior Program for individuals fifty-five (55) years of age and older for those interested in a more relaxed, non-employment life style. Individual goals are developed and implemented that are suited for those in a retirement setting. Socialization is encouraged throughout the day.
Some examples of activities are:
- Physical activities are stressed
- Eating out at the Senior Friendship Center
- Various arts and craft projects
- Rhythm band, bell choir, and Music Appreciation
